Grand Teton National Park GPS App

27 Jul

Wow.  It’s the end of July ~
Where did the time go?

Well?
We now return to “When your dream comes true.”

So, my dream DID come true!
But, of course not without some interesting lessons learned . . .

I was awarded the voice part of the “TravelStorysGPS” iPhone App for the Grand Teton National Park North & South routes.  It was a great project to do & I was honored to be asked to voice it.  It was my first taste of longer-scripted projects (typically, I do projects that are less than 15 minutes).

1st things first:  8 hours of finished audio seems like  an eternity in the VO world (!!)  But again, many lessons were learned . . . like how crazy it is to wake up at 3:30 AM most mornings to record (town is super quiet then), spraying what seemed like a ton of olive oil into my mouth, sucking the life out of many perfectly beautiful green apples, and running outside in my pjs to shush the noisy songbirds.

You live, you learn.
But, dream jobs come around only once in a while.
Or — do they?  What if this is a new TREND??

Hmmmmmm . . .

The app should be available in the app store super soon.
I’ll update the post with the link  🙂

For now, here’s some samples to keep you busy:
