Yikes! That Outside Noise . . .

28 Nov

Recently I finalized my home studio & was surprised when the first day I wanted to record something . . . my neighbor decided he was going to chop some wood.  Hmmmmm.  The next day another neighbor was getting their wood floors cleaned & the truck hum from down the street was not conducive to making a track.  After that, yet another neighbor turned on the wood cutter.  I-yi-yi!

I really like the comments people had for the Voices 123 blog post, “When Outside Noise Puts You Out of Work.”  Check these out:  http://bit.ly/outsidenoise

It was great to read other posts from people that are able to relate to your frustrations!  It’s interesting to see what professionals are doing too to get around outside noise – shifting blankets around, recording in the car, or working in the early morning or at night.

Silence is golden, get it while you can!

Happy Recording!
